Where to Stay in Zlatibor, by Area

Where to Stay in Zlatibor, by Area

Zlatibor is small enough to walk, but where you stay still changes the trip. The town spreads out from the lake and the main square, and the further you go the quieter and cheaper it usually gets. Here is how the areas actually differ, so you can pick the one that fits.

Near the center and the lake

This is the most convenient part of Zlatibor. You are a short walk from the lake, the promenade, the gondola station, restaurants, and the market. If it is your first visit and you want to do everything on foot, stay here. The trade off is that the busiest streets can be loud in summer and on weekends, and parking gets scarce.

Further out

Move away from the center and things calm down. You get more forest, more quiet, and often a lower price. The catch is that you will rely on a car for almost everything, and in winter that means clearing snow and driving on mountain roads. It suits people who want peace over convenience, or who are here mainly to hike and relax.

The sweet spot is being close to the center but on a calm side street. You walk everywhere in a few minutes, but you sleep in quiet and you keep the forest nearby.

  • First trip, no car, want to walk everywhere: stay near the center and lake
  • Peace and lower prices, and you have a car: stay further out
  • Best of both: near the center but on a quiet street
  • Traveling by car in any season: make sure the place has proper parking

That last category is where Apartman Bolero sits. It is on Ulica Sportova, across from Dino Park and about 500 meters from the center, so you walk to the lake and restaurants in minutes. The street is calm, the window looks onto pine forest, and it comes with an enclosed garage with 24/7 video surveillance, so the car is handled.

Add a separate bedroom, a living room with a fireplace, a full kitchen, and fiber WiFi, and it covers most of what people want on the mountain. All seven Booking reviews are 10 out of 10. If the near center but quiet spot sounds right, check the available dates and book.
