Dino Park Zlatibor: What It Is and Whether It Is Worth It

Dino Park sits right across the street from our apartment, so we get asked about it a lot. Here is the honest version. It is an outdoor park filled with life size dinosaur models set among the pines, built mainly with kids in mind. If you are traveling with children, it is an easy win. If not, it is probably a skip.
What it actually is
The park is a walking trail through the forest, lined with dozens of dinosaur figures at real scale. Some are huge. A few move a little and make sounds, which younger kids either love or find slightly scary. There are info boards next to the models with the basic facts about each species, so there is a bit of learning mixed in with the fun.
It is not a high tech attraction and it does not pretend to be. The appeal is simple: kids walking up to a dinosaur taller than the trees. That is enough for most of them.
How long to spend and ticket basics
Plan for about an hour to an hour and a half. That is enough to walk the whole trail without rushing and let the kids stop at the ones they like. Older kids and adults will move through faster.
- Best for younger children, roughly ages three to ten
- Tickets are bought at the entrance, cash is safest
- Children usually pay a reduced price, small kids often free
- Wear normal walking shoes, the path is easy but outdoors
- Check seasonal opening hours, it is quieter outside summer
Because it is directly across from Apartman Bolero, it is the kind of thing you can do on a whim. Let the kids run off some energy in the morning, walk back for lunch, and you have filled a chunk of the day without ever getting in the car.
